Dog-paddling

I have several things I want to post about, but not enough day to go around right now, so while I try to flail my way through the sea of things I’m drowning in, here’s a photo of a wolf spider1 embarking on his2 ‘freedom run’ in the meantime. I found him waiting for me under a glass on the kitchen counter this morning3, which started my day on a happy note. 🙂

1. I warned you all ahead of time that there would be spiders.

2. You can tell it’s a boy because of the large pedipalps.

3. Apparently he terrorized my partner and tried to take on our 20 lb. cat in the bathroom.
