It has been a hard week. I’ve been in a web-based training class all week – one that I asked to be allowed to take, so I’m not complaining, but it was still really exhausting.
It was taught ‘live’ which meant that I had to pay attention to the trainer carefully and there was no pause or rewind. I scored 93.6% on the end of training certification exam, so I’m pretty pleased, and everything I learned will come in really handy.
I inherited the software and its one hundred and thirty or so users when I took over this job, and never really understood it well, so this will be really helpful. Also, I’m relieved that I passed the exam and didn’t waste my employers money… But I’m so, so tired and I strained my neck somehow and now I can’t turn my head to the left. I think I’ll be in bed by eight-thirty tonight.
One thing that sucked was that due to time zone differences, I had to stay later than normal at work. This meant it was completely dark when I left for the day. I really hate this time of year when it gets dark so early; the winter solstice is a more important holiday to me than Christmas, because it means that (even though the worst of the cold is still coming) it will start getting a bit lighter every day instead of a bit darker.
